Went to Courtyard Dental to have a cracked tooth fixed. Was reccomended to them by a friend of mine who had great things to say about the office and the doctor and everything lived up to expectations and beyond. Office is very clean and organized, from online check it to being seated in the dental chair was seamless and easy, no wasted time like I have experienced at other offices. Dr Wong checked me out and gave me a couple different options for fixing my tooth, explaining in great detail the pros and cons of each, helping me make the best decision for my treatment. Was worried about feeling pain during the procedure but was pleasantly surprised from the shot to Dr Wong drilling on my tooth to placing the crown, didn't feel any pain at all, and the treatment experience overall was better than expected, considering that I getting dental work done. No one likes to spend time in a dentist office, me being one of them, but I would absolutely recommend Courtyard Dental for any dental needs, esp if you are fearful and nervous about going to the dentist. Dr Wong and his staff have great chairside manner, are very professional, and work fast and efficient, which I greatly appreciated. They even let me see how my crown was made and explained the process while I was watching it being made, which was pretty cool. So if you have any dental needs, I highly recommend Courtyard Dental, you won't be disappointed.
I went to Courtyard Dental to make a new crown before Thanksgiving. At my first visit, Jessi answered my questions patiently, and she did a good job on polishing my temporary crown which made me feel comfortable on biting and I can totally enjoy on Holiday feast. Dr. Ladan gave the treatment with calm voice that made me less anxious.Today, the second visit is the moment of truth, Sarah helped me with the new crown which I satisfied with. Jessica in the front is kind and sweet as always. The whole team are my front tooth savior. I am appreciate for the team efforts.

I was referred to Courtyard Dental in San Ramon by a close friend. I was immediately put at ease because everyone was so welcoming! The receptionist, Jessica, was very friendly and efficient. She went out of her way to make sure that x-rays were sent over from my previous dentist so I would not be charged $98.00 for duplications. The dental assistant, Vanessa and Dr. Barretto explained everything to me before, during and after the exam! Dr. Barretto talked with me about my dental and medical history before she even looked at my teeth.The exam included teeth and gum health and then we looked at my x-rays and digital photos so she could explain her concerns. Every procedure was done with precision and expertise. It sounds strange to say, but it was the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a dentist! I highly recommend Courtyard Dental and the team there!
I spent approximately five hours in the dentist chair on July 12. I was met at the front counter by Jessica who is always extremely pleasant and a joy to deal with. Dr. Wong did an outstanding job explained the procedure every step of the way, and did an outstanding job on my two crowns. Dr. Wong was assisted by Vanessa who is very pleasant. She also explained every procedure. And ensure that I was comfortable at all times I can’t speak highly enough about this group of individuals at this dental office. I have been going to this office for 20 years and the service keeps getting better.

Amazing visit! They were able to image and remove my old crown, take care of my cavity, make (3D print) my new crown and insert it on my tooth. All in one visit and in two hours!
Had a great experience with my cavity fillings here. Staff (Dr. Barretto, Sarah, and Jessica) are really friendly, professional, and upfront about everything. Dr. Barretto and Sarah were very careful and thorough with my fillings. Pricings were very reasonable and I felt safe COVID-wise, all staff wore masks the whole time I was there.
Have generally dreaded going to the dentist for most of my life (to the point that I really took my time finding a new dentist when my last one retired) and I couldn’t be happier at Courtyard. I’ve been coming in a fair bit for the past year to catch up on the years I didn’t go to the dentist and I was nervous at first but everyone has made it a really pleasant experience from Jessica at the desk, to all the hygienists (Jessica has handled my last couple cleanings and she’s been great) and I’ve seen two different doctors and both have been great. I highly recommend this place especially for people who need a great dentist’s office to help them get over a fear of going to the dentist.

Had my appointment with Dr Ladan , Sarah and Justine the dental hygienist. I had a great experience as they made me relax by clearly explaining what they were doing. X-rays were done in few minutes and Justine worked on my teeth very patiently and without causing too much pain. I also noticed they have updated to newer technology every trip I make to this office . Dr Ladan is one of the best dentists I have seen in a long time. She is very courteous and remembers my issues from the previous visit. Sarah who was there since I went there for my children is really fun and easy to talk to. Overall a great experience.

The team at Courtyard Dental is absolutely fantastic! Top down from when you enter the office and welcomed in to when you're leaving, its always a fantastic experience. I've been going to them for almost a year now and have had my teeth cleaned and maintained by Jessica (one of the hygienists) and Dr. Wong. Everytime I'm in for a routine check-up/cleaning or something a little more intense. I always know I'm being taken care of by some of the best in the area. Especially because I traditionally don't enjoy dental offices because of past experiences. I feel very comfortable whenever I come in and trust them with whatever they have to tell me. I have been patient of Courtyard Dental for many years and what I like about them the most is Dr. Laden listens to me and does her best to make me feel very comfortable. They also care about my health and don’t try to “sell” me anything which has happened to me in the past with other dental practices. I go three times a year for cleanings with Jessica and that ensures it’s painless and fast. She also makes me laugh.

Dr Ladonn has done an amazing job being patient and working within my financial limitations. The treatment plan she put together was concise and ordered thoughtfully! Jessica at the front desk is always accommodating for rescheduling appointments and greeting you with a generous smile upon arrival! Annmarie with insurance went above and beyond! I had new coverage and wasn’t sure of the provider. She knew right away from my place of employment the provider and was even able to print me out a member benefits card! Jessica in the hygiene department has been gentle, yet upfront with me in reference to my care. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience here. Every member of the Courtyard Dental staff was warm, kind and informative to say the least. Not only was my appointment quick and easy, it was the most comforting dentist environment I have ever experienced. They went above and beyond to ensure my visit was comfortable- they advise their clients prior to the visit to bring a sweater, as they say their office can be a bit chilly, they take x-rays while the patient is seated, and they warm their instruments before they're put in your mouth. Their attention to these small details truly puts them in a class of their own. Dr. Ladan was thorough, concise and so gentle. She made sure to communicate with me at every step of her exam and then took time to ask me what my dental goals were. She communicated available options to me and spoke about working together to achieve my personal dental goals. Both Dr. Ladan's dental assistant Sarah, and the parient care coordinator, Jessica were personable and super informative. I'm not necessarily looking forward to a trip to the dentist, but I'm not, not looking forward to the dentist. If I could rate them higher, I would.
Dr. Ladan had an excellent bedside manner. She was attentive, a great listener, thorough. She patiently answered my questions. She was warming and gentle. My hygienist, Jessica, was very good at explaining what she did before she did it. She did great at cleaning my teeth. I was referred to Courtyard Dental by a friend after a bad experience with another dentist. Everyone was so pleasant and thorough. Jessica the hygienist did a wonderful job of cleaning my teeth. She was very thorough. Jessica the RDA took the most comfortable X-rays I have ever had. Usually it hurts tremendously to get X-rays done due to the shape of my jaw, but I didn’t feel it at all due to her gentle touch. Dr. Ladan did my gum/pocket measurements so fast that it wasn’t the least bit uncomfortable. Overall it was a very happy experience. I am so happy I made the switch!

I'm a returning customer of Courtyard dental. The only reason I left previously was due to an insurance coverage change. Courtyard dental was able to schedule my cleaning and issue with my tooth in December. After their diagnose, they were able to schedule me the same day to repair my dental issue.
Going to the dentist is not one of my favorite things to do but I have to say that I have been going to Courtyard Dental for years and they have always made the experience less painful. It is always very clean and everyone that works there is pleasant and professional. I was hesitant to go today because Mona who usually cleans my teeth left and I was concerned about who I was going to get. Within minutes Jessica made me feel relaxed. I told her half way through my cleaning about my concern but that I liked her. She is a keeper. Very personable, caring and gentle. So even though I don't ever look forward to going to the dentist I have to say I do look forward to seeing the staff that work there. Would definitely recommend.
I have been coming here for over a decade and can't recommend Courtyard enough. All the staff is friendly and accommodating. They are very good for patients with anxiety or sensitivity. Even going above and beyond to educate patients and help them develop better teeth cleaning habits.

Today was my first visit back since shelter-in-place began. I was really happy with all the steps that Courtyard Dental took to adjust their procedures and keep patients safe. First off, each person fills out a COVID-19 health survey and patient survey online. When you arrive in the parking lot, you give the office a call to let them know you’re here. When it’s safe to go in, they’ll tell you. They provide hand sanitizer once you enter, and take your temperature w/ a contact-free thermometer. Masks are required. The dentists themselves wear 2 face masks, a gown, gloves and plexi face shield during your appointment. They often switch gloves multiple times throughout the visit. In the corner of the room there’s an air filtration machine, and when I called the front desk beforehand they also let me know they de-fog rooms in between patients and disinfect everything (chairs, tools, etc). They also use a “relief” suction device in your mouth to reduce aerosols from the cleaning. I exited through the back door. Overall I’m super happy with the visit and all the precautions taken. It’s so easy to cancel or keep postponing your dental visit, but dental healthcare is healthcare. My only minor suggestion for Courtyard Dental is to advertise ALL of what they’re doing on their website during this time, that might help people. I’ve always had a good experience here.
Courtyard Dental was highly recommended by my brother and sister in-law. I was skeptical on scheduling an appointment because it’s a long way from where I live, Morgan Hill. I’m glad I schedule this appointment. From the time I open the door, Marijane greeted me with a smile and took my temperature. She explained the safety measures they have in place. As a nurse, this was important to me because safety is my number one concern. I then proceed to get my teeth cleaned by Myra the hygienist. She was very through and explained everything that she was going to do. I was impressed. Not only did she explain, she provided helpful suggestions on how I can improve my dental health. She is amazing and took the time in doing an outstanding job cleaning my teeth. I was then introduced to Dr. Gabr who also explained everything about my teeth and the x-rays they took. He was very honest and only recommended what is really needed. I am now recommending Courtyard Dental to everyone I know. If you care about your teeth this is the place to go. The service is outstanding.
We have been coming here for the past few years and have never experienced any problems whatsoever. The staff is courteous and professional and accommodating. Since covid19 some of the personnel has changed, I’m. OT saying that’s a bad thing at all. I recently went in for my checkup and felt safe and confident that they have taken great measures to ensure my safety. If you don’t feel safe then don’t go in but just remember your overall health hinges on good oral health as well.
I’ve been going to courtyard dental for years. I recently had the hygienist Mona clean my teeth on my last visit. She gave me some great tips and techniques to better my dental health. The cleaning she gave was excellent! That was one of the best cleaning experiences ever, she’s definitely a top hygienist. I felt very safe at my appointment with all of the new protocols enacted. Everything was extremely clean, hand sanitizer everywhere, and everyone was in full PPE. If you have dental needs, head to Courtyard Dental!
Today I went for my regular cleaning appointment. The staff is well equipped and has taken measure to ensure safety of patients for the COVID pandemic. I felt comfortable while getting my teeth cleaned and would recommend all patients for resuming their cleaning schedules

As a new patient you have your guard up about seeing a new dental office especially through this whole Covid thing. Today was my first visit at courtyard dental. Really awesome experience from start to end. Marijane helped checked us in, took our temperature. Etc. she answered all of our questions and concerns. Then off I went with Sara who took xrays and pictures of my teeth. She took her time to make sure that I was comfortable and was very gentle. Then Dr. Gabr came in and talked to me. Asked me about my dental history and had a really good conversation with him about what could be causing my problems. Lastly was my cleaning. Mayra was really really good. Not only did she inspect and clean my teeth, she also explained why things are the way they are and what I should do. I left the office with a new approach on how to take care of my teeth. I don’t live close to the office but I will definitely come back.

Great and accommodating staff! I've been going through Invisalign treatment this year and it's been a smooth road. They have taken the time to explain the procedure and give me tips. Above all, I appreciate the kindness and courtesy afforded during my visits. They provide a welcoming atmosphere. Be patient if you go through Invisalign adjustments. It takes a long time but will be worth it when I'm done.

Just switched to Courtyard Dental and the experience was great. The office was fully prepared for any issues with the Coronavirus - from spacing out the incoming patients to making sure that everyone had a mask on when necessary. I had to have a cap put on a tooth. My prior experience with the procedure and interim window we're not good. Dr. Wong did this procedure and it was a completely different experience. He used a special guard so my cheek and tongue we're protected. He gave me status as we went along ("50% done"), and he checked often to be sure I was comfortable. He was awesome! I'll never love getting a cap, but I'll always want it to be done by Dr. Wong.

I had an amazing first time visit experience.i was greeted right away by Ashley with a warm welcome. Sara Dental assistant was friendly and nice. She explained what is going to be done at my visit and guided me through each step with me. I then got approached by Dr.Wong introducing himself and he also explained to me what is going to happen each step of the way. They took picture is my teeth and showed me first hand to explain what they see so I can see.This made me feel at ease. I was able to share how I felt about my teeth with patience from both Dr Wong and Sara. I have going to Courtyard Dental for over 20 years. Recently Dr. Hickmott retired and I was very concerned about who would be replacing him and I am pleased to say that after seeing Dr. Barretto once and Dr. Gabr twice my concerns have gone away. They are both very professional and care about their patients. Dr. Gabr has a great sense of humor and takes the time to make sure his patients are comfortable in their decision making. Everyone in the office makes going to the dentist a better experience starting with Ashley at the front desk, MJ, Mona who cleans my teeth and Jessica who assists the Dr.'s . Even though I drive about 30 minutes to get there I will continue to go to Courtyard Dental because of the great team there that always make me feel like they care.

I hadn’t seen a dentist in over 5 years, Dr Barretto helped come up with a treatment plan for the issues with my teeth, and Mona has provided me with 2 cleanings now. All the treatment I’ve gotten done there has been fantastic and pain free. Mona was able to explain to me everything that was going on and how it would be treated, her cleanings are thorough and make your mouth feel great. I love Courtyard Dental and all of the fine people that work there and take such good care of me. I have been going here for about 4 years. They were recommended to my by friends that are patients. I have been very happy ever since I have been a patient here. Mona and Kristen are my hygienists. They both do such a thorough cleaning. Ashley is the receptionist but she can do so much more. Dr. Baretto is my dentist. I have had two procedures there requiring the dentist to do actual dental work on me. The care and follow up is excellent. Everyone is so kind, gentle and caring. They truly care that you are comfortable and are doing well, while you are there. Appointments are always convenient for me and I work near by in Bishop Ranch, so I can get in and out and back to work with little effort. Well you can't really make a visit to the dentist too great but the team here did a great job . My first visit to the dentist in quite a while , they got me in for x rays , check up and deep cleaning and out in about an hour . Everyone was very friendly , I feel like I met everyone in the practice . Well decorated, everything looked clean and new .

Kristen is the best hygienist around. She takes her time and uses "hand pick" tools to prevent sensitivity for teeth. It makes a huge difference. Dr. Hickmott is exceptional and treats our whole family, including our kids. We have been patients for years and often recommended Courtyard Dental to friends.

She really pays attention to detail and my teeth have never felt better. All the doctors I have seen at Courtyard are very proactive making sure to point out teeth I need to give more attention to. They also let me know about potential fillings that may be on the horizon. Courtyard has updated their appointment system do I get a friendly text reminding me of my appointment. My family and I have been going to Dr. Hickmott for over 23 years and it is the same consistent experience... positive all the way around. Everyone works great together and the tools are continually updated. I have never been oversold on anything in all these years. His evaluation results and preventative measures are all with the intent of keeping on top of prospective dental issues. I think that any negative review is a pure outlier in respect to this office.

10 Years ago when I moved to San Ramon my neighbor recommended Dr. Hickmott and Courtyard Dental. I really dread going to the dentist, because I had a lot of bad experiences growing up, but as soon as I walk in the staff is so friendly and non-judgmental that I relax and am grateful. In addition to taking great care of my teeth, Dr. Hickmott is an all around nice guy and the entire staff is kind and accommodating. I continue to recommend them to all my friends and they echo my praise.

Besides being excellent at what they do, they are all such genuinely friendly people! Chatting with my hygienist Kristin makes the sometimes nervous experience of going to the dentist, an easy experience. She's great! I've been going to Dr. Hickmott for over 15 years now. Even when I moved out of the area, I would always drive over to get the best attention for my teeth. Love Courtyard Dental! My family and I have been coming here for YEARS! Dr. Hickmott and all the hygienists are super friendly and very thorough when it comes to teeth cleanings. I recently went and had Mona as my hygienist and she caught a minor cavity on one of back molars. Since I go to school in SoCal I was advised to get it filled asap. Dr. Hickmott was very accommodating and booked me the last appointment of the year for the following day at 8AM. The fill was quick and painless as Dr. Hickmott and his team are very experienced and gentle. They try to make sure patients feel comfortable and taken care of. Also the front desk workers are very welcoming. When I was younger I used to get nervous before going to any dental appointments at my past dental office but the environment of Courtyard Dental is different and the nerves stopped when I switched! I highly recommend families come to Courtyard Dental :)
Dr. Hickmott and his team are absolutely amazing. This will probably sound like a broken record with other reviews, but I've been going to Courtyard Dental for over 20 years. Right now, I spend most of my time in SF, but refuse to go to another dentist, even if means having to commute a bit longer. The entire staff is great and makes it an easy/comfortable experience. Shout out to Danielle in specific who deals with me constantly forgetting or changing my appointment times. Plus, they really know their stuff and for people who for whatever reason cannot get brushing right (me) - they take the time to show you what you're doing wrong and how to fix it. In my most recent visit, Mona gave me a full 101 on brushing the right way and even flossed my teeth to show me the right way to do it...I know, I am special. Point being, these guys really care about you and you're teeth and show it. Wish I could give more than 5 stars here.
I have been happily going to Courtyard Dental for 24 years. Dr. Hickmott and his colleagues are great and never pushing procedures when I want to "wait and see" for a little while. They have always embraced the latest equipment and have taken our insurance coverage which changes somewhat regularly. Courtyard Dental also has convenient after work and weekend appointments. No complaints whatsoever from me.

I really appreciate how professional, knowledgeable and kind courtyard dental's staff is. I came to them after struggling with several dentists and hygienists and I'm not looking back. I recommend this office very highly. UPDATE: Had to get an old crown replaced and deal with a problematic tooth no other dentist could figure out. Dr. Hickmont successfully identified the issue and fixed both my teeth all with a caring and compassionate approach that rivals none. If one could love going to the dentist, it would be only to this one!!

His staff is always warm and friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Don't dread the dentist anymore! The staff will thoroughly explain the procedure so you know exactly what to expect. They have the talent of gentle dentistry and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. The professional staff impressed me and I will return for my future dentistry needs. Great place. I've been back a few times recently to redo a crown which I got many years ago at my old dentist. It's tough to break away during the day. They're on time and get things done quickly. All the staff is super friendly. As good as it can get for a place which is generally painful and as unfun of a thing as I can think of.

Dr. Hickmott has a great bedside (chairside ) manner yet he knows his stuff. It's rare to find that combination. I feel the same way about Dr. Temlock. Patient for 10 years.
Dr. Hickmott and staff can always be relied on to give excellent care. They are responsive to questions and always make sure our family understands all recommended or necessary procedures. This dental office is great. Dr Hickmott is excellent and his staff is fabulous. There is never any pressure to get anything done other than the required items. Dr. Hickmott and his staff have continued to go above and beyond in the care they have provided to me and my family.I am a dental coward and Dred coming in for my cleanings or anything else that may have been necessary over the years. Dr. Hickmott always greats me with a smile and is very reassuring that he will take care of my dental needs in the most professional and comfortable way possible. He is the only person who can make me laugh with a mouth full of dental tools and high power water spray....I have also had some challenging dental issues. Dr. Hickmott's excellent diagnostic skills have saved me from losing a permanent tooth and from having to undergo serious tooth and gum procedures. He has caught potentially serious conditions well in advance.I have been seeing Dr. Hickmott for over 25 years and he has not removed me from being a patient yet...

Came in for my 6 month cleaning a couple of weeks ago with Kristen and she worked me over "in a good way"! She kept asking if I was ok (and I was). I had to come back in to see Dr. Temlock. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Temlock had a consultation opening the same afternoon as my morning cleaning. I came back in that afternoon and Dr. Temlock explained the entire procedure. Dr. Temlock performed the procedure this past week. It was quick and not as painful as I thought it would be. Before and during the procedure, Dr. Temlock explained, checked in and before I knew it, I was out of his chair. We even had a little joke that I took a quick snooze while he was working :) It was that "painless"!Stop on by and check out Courtyard Dental!

My 9 year old son chipped a decent size piece of his permanent front tooth off at school. I called Courtyard Dental right away and Dr. Hickmott was able to get us in within an hour. He was so gentle and reassuring to both my son and myself that he could make the tooth look like nothing happened. He and the entire staff were so nice, understanding and the work by Dr. Hickmott was outstanding. You could not tell anything had happened to his tooth when the work was complete. My son was pleased that the procedure was very fast and he had no pain at all. The other thing that I appreciate about their staff is they always show me my out of pocket cost after insurance payment before any work is done so there are no surprises. I highly recommend Courtyard Dental for family dentistry. My family has been going there for 8 years and the service and staff have always been excellent.
This Is A Great Office, the staff is impeccable, I just brought my 2 & 3 year old in for their first visit (ever) and they made fun and exciting, believe it or not got them to clean brush and polish their teeth. A MAZE ING. what I thought was going to be a nightmare was exactly the opposite. Dr. Hickmott is a great guy, and Mandy the office manager is so helpful. I would recommend this to anyone!!

My Mom got some dental work done here recently while she was down in the Bay Area. She's so computer phobic that computers create special problems whenever she's near them but I'm happy to write the Yelp review she would write if she did Yelp.She said parking was easy, the office was nice and light with comfortable chairs in the waiting room and that everyone she encountered there was friendly and cordial and knew what they were doing. (She added that she didn't make a lot of use of the comfortable chairs because the wait times were very short.)Her highest praise was reserved for the dentist himself: "He had magic hands, the lightest touch. You just didn't feel him in your mouth. And I really appreciated that he's smart enough not to ask questions when your mouth is wide open and you CAN'T ANSWER."
Tiffany who works the front office has such a welcoming and kind disposition. She is extremely helpful and professional, always available to answer questions. Customer service is 100% on point.
What a great place! Not many of us enjoy going to the dentist, myself included. Having said that, the friendly staff and comfortable space at Courtyard Dental makes for a great experience! The staff is courteous and welcoming. Dr. Hickmott is very patient and explains everything so that it is easy to understand. He's always willing to answer any questions I may have. It's a shame I can't give more than 5 stars because Dr. Hickmott and his staff are all worth a 10 star rating. First off I am always welcomed by sincere genuine people . Tiffany, one of the front office girls, is always a pleasure to see, she demonstrates what ideal customer service is supposed to be. Along with the rest of the staff who couldn't be any more helpful and nice people. You can tell that the staff enjoy their work. Now Dr. Lolis THE BEST. I had to get a crown on my front tooth and I didn't know what to expect. Dr Hickmott listened as I cried to him, told me not to worry and got to work. End product is priceless . It's gorgeous and looks very natural. I literally cried when he showed me in the mirror. Dr Hickmott is so unbelievably nice and gentle I just wish I found him and his office years ago. I truly am grateful for Dr Hickmott and his wonderful staff.
Clearly, the dentist is not my favorite place. Too many bad experiences as a kid and the sound of the drill makes me cringe! However, my experience at Courtyard Dental was so different!! The friendly vibe starts at the door with Tiffany. She goes out of her way to make all their clients feel comfortable! She is absolutely attentive and super friendly! I am not one to like going to the dentist but the whole experience at Dr Hickmott's could not be more pleasant.Dr. Hickmott always shows me the x-rays, and photos of my teeth and goes over what the plan is in a way I can totally understand. No surprises!! The whole process couldn't be more comfortable and painless. He always makes sure that I am very numb and able to relax.The hygienists are all gentle and super professional and I love that the office is clean. I have been a patient of Dr Hickmott's for years and now my whole extended family goes there too! My whole family goes to Dr. Hickmott. He is cautious and doesn't do un-needed procedures. He has other dentists and specialists who work with him who are equally top notch. And, let me just say that the receptionist Ashley, goes above and beyond for patients. She has squeezed me in more than once when I had a dental need that I was anxious about. Top notch!!!
Dr. Hickmott has been my dentist since 2006. He's wonderful! When I have had major dental work done, he has always provided me with all of my options letting me know the potential pros and cons of each decision I have had to make. So far, I have only experienced the services of Dr. A. Temlock at this office. He is the awesomest dentist I have ever had, and I have had many, on 2 different continents ... He is SO sweet and yet so professional. It feels so natural to talk to him. I met him a couple of years ago and at the time I had terrible anxiety of dentists, not for fear of the pain, but for fear of the possible irreversible damage they could do to my mouth. So much of this fear has faded away thanks to Dr. Temlock. He really listens to you and takes your opinion into consideration. He presents to you the options. He does not act as a salesperson but as an expert who is trying to inform you on your best possible options. We are working on my second implant with him and so far everything he has done (including sinus augmentation and bone grafts) has been a success. I really cannot talk for the rest of the staff since I have not experienced their services enough (yet). But if you are looking for dental implants, I would really recommend to go there.
OK, I have no idea what these other people who gave Dr. Hickmott 1 star are talking about, Mark is a terrific dentist. I've had several dentists in my life and lots of orthodontic, dental surgery work. I am 55 and have seen dentists come and go and I had a lot of teeth problems earlier in my life. I hated going to the dentist until my wife suggested I try her dentist Dr. Mark Hickmott about 12 years ago.So I did. I was wary at first because I always hated the way cleanings were done by my previous dentists, but Mark used better techniques and equipment and it made me feel comfortable going to the dentist. I had some work done way before Mark was my dentist that was pretty crappy, Mark just kept an eye on it for several years until it began to look like it was coming apart. Then he fixed it in two visits and I have had zero problems with that area since.From the beginning Mark took an interest in the fact that my gums were receding. And I was getting a lot of sensitivity. He explained to me how this could be a problem and what I could do to help stop it. He measured the gum line every time I went in and gave me instruction on how to slow the gums from receding. It has been a success.Over the years I had some dental issues of course, mainly work that was done previous to Mark becoming my dentist had to be redone... Stuff like fillings falling out and a couple cavities. But each time Mark did a terrific job with very little discomfort compared to the "old school" dentists I used to have.I'm also having fewer dental problems overall since I started with Mark 12 years ago.Our two daughters also began seeing Dr. Hickmott when they were about 4 years old, I think. Our kids love going to Dr. Hickmott.Overall, a really good dentist. -----------------------------As to what the other reviewers said:The "water pick" that two reviewers mentioned is NOT a water pick at all. It is a high pressure cleaner that blasts very tiny sodium particles, removing the plaque without manually scraping of your teeth. It is very effective and frankly much better for your teeth than scraping the enamel with a metal scraper. The scraping method is cheaper and maybe that is why other dentists still use it. Mark also does a polish after the cleaning.I cannot believe Mark would do shoddy work, I have never had a problem with his work and neither has anyone in our family. As I said before my dental issues have actually decreased since I chose Dr. Hickmott as my dentist. In addition, my children are checked by their ortodontist who said their teeth are well maintained.-----------Mark also uses a very safe x-ray machine, and the images come up on a computer screen right in front of you. He can show you what he sees in the x-rays and the whole process is very fast.The office is very very nice and convenient, with plenty of parking. The staff is terrific, they handle insurance, billing, and scheduling very professionally.
This was the best dental experience ever. Dr. Wong used two technologies I'm not accustomed to; sonic water cleaning and what I can best describe as tooth sand blasting using CHNaO3 which is awesome! If white, healthy teeth is your goal, hit them up!
This place is wonderful, terrific staff and Mark Hickmott (there is more than one Dentist at this location) is amazing -- personable, knows his stuff, and demonstrates he cares about his work and patients. You need an appointment, and virtually every appointment I have had I got in at my appointed time, or very close to it. I saw one bad review here which just stunned me. I have been going to Courtyard Dental for many years and I cannot believe we are talking about the same place. Said they didn't see much of the dentist, but the dentist is the one that cleans your teeth -- most other places have an assistant to do that. I think this is a great place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dentist in the San Ramon area.

Can I get a hip hip hooray for the dentist! After too many years without one my sister in law recommended Courtyard Dental. The dentists and assistants are really friendly and professional. They use the hyrdopick thingy (not really sure what it's called) to clean your teeth and it hurts like hell the first time. Painful but effective. Not nearly as bad the next time around. They've also been really flexible with my husband's and my schedules since for both of us they are constantly changing.
